Surely one of the producers to watch on the experimental fringes of hardcore and terrorcore, Vague Entity leaves his comfort zone and masters something quite different: A 35 –minute score for the apocalypse, drenched in dismal atmosphere and menacing darkness. “Thoughts on Humanity” seethes with feedback, a mind-grinding document of mental sickness, “Resonance of Depression” is a muffled wail of creatures unknown, with thumps (not rhythms) all underneath, “Genocide” starts more simple-textured before bringing in a build-up of a wind-swept atmosphere and the title track is filled with scrap percussion and dissected noisy beats (of sorts). This is a perfect release for those who go beyond, who question the dark matters of life, who are not afraid to engage in occupation with the evil that men do - and who are capable of active listening.
