Twinniks, who are actually twin Nicks by their first names, present their first proper release after a string of very convincing (uncommissioned) remixes: Four tracks of tongue-in-cheek relaxed electronica with an eye on the dance floor.

“Entwined” is a programmatic title, meaning a multitude of influences blended into an uplifting and fresh mix– and it’s a bouncing, neat title track, while “Up in the Sky” with its Streets-style vocal hook celebrates the Nicks’ belief in alien life, in love and in party. “You are the One/ Twinniks Rap” follows a different idea, a love song from the perspective of the stalker, the purity of affection turned into the sour obsession of the killer. “Twinight” is not only a proper pun, but also a powerful, minimal funk tool, the duos first ever recording, a nocturnal production.
